I freakin' love Ghostbusters. I loved them as a kid. I love them now. I had the crazy toys that morphed into weird things, i watched the cartoons, I have the special edition DVD's, and a lot of my comedic inspiration comes from that movie. So when I saw that not only was there a new Ghostbusters video game, but that it was written and voiced by the original creators and cast, I was pretty stoked.
A gaming blog focusing primarily on adventure games, which many believe to be a dying art but which I believe are still awesome and still affect even the most shoot-em-up games there are. I cover nostalgic games from the golden age of adventure gaming, new adventure games that help keep the genre alive, obscure European games because adventure gaming is alive and kicking in Europe, and occasionally do a Top 10ish list. Come in! Fun times!

Ghostbusters
Normally this is where the obligatory "Who you gonna call" joke would be made, but I am better than that even though just mentioning the joke is kind of the same as making the joke itself. Oh well. Ghostbusters marks another incomplete game for me. It's the risk you run with rentals, there is sometimes not nearly enough time to finish it all. But it's not for lack of wanting.

Portal 2
HEEEEEEEEE hehehehehehe. WHEATLY!
Okay, so I will be joining the multitudes of people wanting to talk about Portal 2. Yes, many people will talk about and it and post videos and do playthroughs and throwing my two cents in about the game seems kind of redundant but dammit! The game is finished and I want to talk! Now, I don't normally announce my biases when it comes to reviews but...wait...yes I do. All the time.

CSI: Fatal Conspiracy
YEESS, I still watch this show on occasion. And YES, I have played more than one of these games. I don't know what it is, I just like mysteries, cheesy mysteries with one-liners that no one in their right mind would say in real life. Especially ones involving some of the most inaccurate portrayals of crime scene investigation the world has ever seen. It's pretty much like eating McDonald's. You know it's bad, but you can't help but order the supersize fries when you see them.

Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within
Strangely enough, up until now I’ve never played Gabriel Knight 2: The Beat Within. Part of that was its availability in no adventure games allowed Sarnia, part of it was my family computer’s inability to process anything not on a floppy disc, but after that it was this weird trepidation I developed when contemplating playing the game. Even when I bought the trilogy online, I played the first and the third, but left the second to sit on my harddrive. Which I shouldn’t have…because it’s a damn good game. Warning! I do discuss a couple of spoilers, so anyone wanting to play it for themselves should do that first. I figure this is old school enough that most people have played it.

Because I was bored, that's why.
To help distract me from the fun times of playing a pregnant crack addict, I did a couple of things. One was to start this blog. The other was to take my camera shy self and make this goofy youtube project with a couple of friends to make fun of my love of Myst and my inability to handle coffee. Enjoy!...and be kind...
Thanks again to Mr. Charrington and Ms. Wynne for all their help and awesomeness and suggestions. I am very slowly learning the intricacies of hamming it up for a camera. Maybe next time I'll actually write more of a script. Fun fact: I still don't know how to make coffee.
